Glasgow Survivors Engagement Event: Commitments to Survivors of Historical Child Abuse

You are invited to attend an event hosted by CELCIS (Centre for Excellence for Looked After Children in Scotland) on behalf of the Scottish Government. This event is an opportunity for you to share your views on the range of commitments made by the Scottish Government to survivors of historical child abuse, including a National Inquiry. The Scottish Government are keen to hear your views to help them to shape what the Inquiry should cover and what skills and qualities it should look for in a chair and panel.

The events will also focus on the other parts of the Action Plan on Justice for Victims of Historic Abuse of Children in Care including: a Survivor Support Fund; Commemoration and Time Bar.

This event will be conducted in a safe environment and support will be available for those who need it. These events are for survivors and their families only.

The content of this event will be the same as the evening events held in Glasgow, Perth and Edinburgh in February and March 2015 and delegates' views will be reflected back in the same way. The event aims to give people who are unable to attend evening events the same opportunity to reflect back their views.

Registration for this event takes place from 11.00 and the event itself will take place from 11.30 to 14.00. Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be provided.
